British consulate was built in the third year of the Tongzhi reign period (1864) of the Qing Dynasty. The main building has two floors and its regional building has three storeys. It was built with red bricks and green ones. It was built with a mixed structure of bricks, woods and stones. Now it serves as Museum in Zhenjiang, which displays the brilliant ancient culture of Zhengjiang. It is open for free all through the year.
